Hailky are a wonderful community celebration of the renewal of nature traditionally celebrated on Easter and the days following (in Ukrainian communities, and other cultures too)

Hailky consist of groups singing songs and walking in formations with repetitive elements, as well as fun physical games that rely on youthful energy and strength. A fun element of Easter Monday revels is the spraying of water, in which males traditionally spray or douse women with water as they pass by. Nowadays, all young people equally take part in the fun. 
We invite you to join us for this celebration of life and resurrection!! 
We also invite all singing groups and folklore groups to share their culture's spring songs by performing in the park with us.
